Plot Summary:During WWII in England, Charlie, Carrie, and Paul Rawlins are sent to live with Eglantine Price, an apprentice witch. Charlie blackmails Miss Price that if he is to keep her practices a secret, she must give him something, so she takes a bedknob from her late father's bed and places the "famous magic traveling spell" on it, and only Paul can activate it. Their first journey is to a street in London where they meet Emelius Browne, headmaster of Miss Price's witchcraft training correspondence school. Miss Price tells him of a plan to find the magic words for a spell known as Substitutiary Locomotion, which brings inanimate objects to life. This spell will be her work for the war effort.

迪士尼100周年正好走到bfi的时候碰巧看到。确实概念和Mary Poppins好像，但是制作好精良6，70年代这个技术很不错了，不过歌曲没有那么catchy。最喜欢的地方是他们的studio里的40年代的Portobello Road, 还原的好棒，看到自己生活过的地方以这样的形式出现，真的是很神奇，时间和空间上。不过那个年代无法避免的歧视，比如对女性的一些刻板印象（电影院里还有一个老大爷笑了😥），但是除此之外，还是一个很富有想象力的作品，谁不想通过床来旅行呢。
