Plot Summary:Sango Malo contrasts two views of education. The traditional headmaster represents a rigid, \"Eurocentric.\" curriculum designed to produce docile colonial administrators. Malo, the radical young teacher, emphasizes the practical skills needed to build a self-reliant rural community.
