Plot Summary:\"Das Jahr 1945\" is a documentary which describes the last 128 days of World War II in Europe. The film covers the course of the war in chronological order, and discusses military tactics and the Nazi ideology. The viewer gets a sense of the conditions of the concentration camps, and the vast destruction of German cities while also hearing speeches and interviews from prominent Nazis. When the Red Army finally liberates East Germany from the chaos of the war, they are portrayed here as valiant heroes.
