Plot Summary:Growing up with a critical father, Cordelia (known as Delia in the film) becomes an insecure woman who works in a large firm in the city. She had until recently a relationship with her supervisor who ended the affair. After Cordelia's last day working in the company, she comes back to an almost empty apartment she just moved in and receives a phone call from her mother. As usual, the mother tries to have Cordelia talk to her father. Just as the mother walks up to the father's workroom to hand him the phone, she finds the father passing out on the floor and having a stroke. Cordelia, therefore, comes back to her home town and helps take care of her father. Due to the quick recovery, the father is soon released from the hospital. However, the stroke causes him losing parts of his memory and no longer ascertaining the nature of his relationships with people around him. Meanwhile, Cordelia begins to recall her unpleasant childhood memories with her father because of her presence at home. One morning, they bump into each other in the workroom and have their first authentic conversation in a long time. Due to the loss of the father's memory, a new dynamic occurs between them. The father is able to share his thoughts with Cordelia and encourage her. Cordelia learns that her father is in fact proud of her. Later that morning they find a draft of a furniture and decide to finish making it. Right when Cordelia and her father start building their friendship through working together on the furniture, the father regains his memory and instinctively reverts to the distant father he once was. Cordelia finds herself ambivalent about her father's recovery. Not being able to assure the existence of this friendship with her father, Cordelia returns to the city to carry on her life until one day she comes home and finds a package sent by her father...
