Plot Summary:It is the early 1940's. Merel, a 14-year-old girl, has a great and good life. Then the war starts. The village is occupied. But those Germans aren't so bad after all? They seem nice and pay their groceries. Life just goes on. But this all changes when not only she comes into contact with the war herself, but everyone around her slowly changes through the war.
