Plot Summary:Expanding her (White Riot: London (2017)) short documentary film, Rubika Shah's energizing film charts a vital London protest movement. Rock Against Racism (RAR) was formed in 1976, prompted by 'music's biggest colonialist' Eric Clapton and his support of racist MP Enoch Powell. White Riot (2019) blends fresh interviews with queasy archive footage to recreate a hostile environment of anti-immigrant hysteria and National Front marches. As neo-Nazis recruited the nation's youth, RAR's multicultural punk and reggae gigs provided rallying points for resistance. As founder Red Saunders explains: 'We peeled away the Union Jack to reveal the swastika'. The campaign grew from Hoxton fanzine roots to 1978's huge antifascist carnival in Victoria Park, featuring X-Ray Spex, Steel Pulse and of course The Clash, whose rock star charisma and gale-force conviction took RAR's message to the masses.

紀錄片是直述式的描述歷史事件，所以即使衹有90分鐘也有點無趣。事件是關於1976年英國 Rock Against Racism 一場社運。大致上導演所採取的一個立場是比較符合現今普世價值，也從這些組織該場運動的歷史人物口中重組一個對立面。而且導演也讓我吃了個瓜。知道David Bowie當時說過的話，是屬於這段運動的對立面。因為開始說過是直述式的鋪排，所以基本上看不到有別的新觀點或東西。
