Plot Summary:All Wally Mellish, an ex-convict in 1960s Australia, wants to do is live a quiet life with his girlfriend Beryl. Unfortunately when two police officers come around to disturb this, a misunderstanding quickly becomes out of control, resulting Wally, Beryl and her child being trapped in their house, surrounded by armed police under the impression that Wally is holding everyone hostage. Events quickly spiral into a media circus as, through the siege, Wally - inadvertently - manages to become a symbol for the anti-war movement.

门不开是对的，对于那些无理的警察，警察怎么了，是警察就要开门啊！没礼貌就不开门！不过男主角也太没脑子了，也不能他们踹几下门，就拿着枪朝着天打两下，你看祸从这里出吧！小小警察，还真以为他抢劫了母子俩叫来那么多警察干嘛！还解救人质，真是无厘头的搞笑……
类似于生活片风格的无厘头轻喜剧，风格方面，个人感觉，有些类似美国电影“关键投票”。此类影片非常适合一家人在一起观阅。
挺搞笑，结局军方那个文盲不能参军的条例把幽默推到极点
