這一集重頭戲擺在安妮到夏洛鎮唸書，比前兩集更為聚焦、有條理且合於原著，整體觀感好很多。黛安娜為安妮上榜高興的樣子真可愛，在外寄宿的生活因為有珍和喬伊交火夠幽默，是三集中最成功的改編。惟演員年幼個子矮，學院戲的「合身度」不如85版，有點裝大人的感覺，稍嫌可惜。
