Plot Summary:Billy and Jimmy both loved Olive, but Jimmy had the better of the suit even though Billy had bested him in a terrible fistic encounter. Billy then, in order to make a hit and win Olive, appropriated his little sister's doll and made Olive a present of it. This made him solid with Olive and Jimmy saw the way matters stood, and he himself took the doll and tried to drown it in a nearby lake. Billy, however, ever alert, heard Olive's cries for help and rushed into the icy lake and rescued Lizzie midst the snapping and snarling of some very vicious fish.
