Plot Summary:In 1858 France, Bernadette, an adolescent peasant girl, has a vision of "a beautiful lady" in the city dump. She never claims it to be anything other than this, but the townspeople all assume it to be the virgin Mary. The pompous government officials think she is nuts, and do their best to suppress the girl and her followers, and the church wants nothing to do with the whole matter. But as Bernadette attracts wider and wider attention, the phenomenon overtakes everyone in the town, and transforms their lives.

也许有万分之一的可能，上帝真的显灵了，但是这个上帝只会极其偶然的回应某些人的祷告，天主教徒或者基督徒应该学会接受，神迹时代早就已经结束了。这样的电影拍出来误人子弟，使人迷信。即使是再虔诚信奉上帝的人，也不应该把神迹当回事
奇迹的苦病。
正统虔诚宗教片，视听技巧高超。让圣母显形不如留给观众猜想，但这也是宗教立场使然。
