Plot Summary:This film recounts the history and attitudes of the opposing sides of the Vietnam War using archival news footage as well as its own film and interviews. A key theme is how attitudes of American racism and self-righteous militarism helped create and prolong this bloody conflict. The film also endeavors to give voice to the Vietnamese people themselves as to how the war has affected them and their reasons why they fight the United States and other western powers while showing the basic humanity of the people that US propaganda tried to dismiss.

一位赴越战俘归国，民众欢呼雀跃，士兵是感到荣耀呢，还是可悲？政府在对越战争上谎话连篇，起初的战争满足了很多美国兵享受武器与轰鸣，逐渐陷入不能全身而退的后期让反对思潮汹涌澎湃，片中美国国内的斥责声并没有多么强烈，越南本土的剪影却定格了真实。
所以我们被控制 被洗脑 为所谓的正义而战 我们当中的有的人也只是为了短暂的欢愉 然后我们在陌生人的坟头上开了个盛大的party 可聚会的焰火简直要把我们都烧起来了 然后我们又飞上天去炸成一朵朵的烟花 聚会的主人哭着也笑着
字幕难找，找到还是机翻。挺震憾的，被一些镜头。更震憾的是本片拍摄时越战尚未结束，更是在美国公开放映。媒体的自由让人叹为观止。幸亏，冷战结束了。
