Plot Summary:Herbert is digging in his basement when his wife Hermione calls him upstairs to eat. She thinks he is making a wine cellar, but he is really planning to kill her and bury her in the basement. At lunch, Hermione goes over all the arrangements she has made for a business trip to California that they are about to take together. Several friends then come over to visit, and after they leave, Herbert looks for the opportunity to put his plan into practice.

【希区柯克剧场 第一季 23】看得人后脊梁骨发冷，这个老男人的杀人动机让人后怕。别人眼里的相濡以沫对自己来说是压抑、操纵和摆布。在家里的自主性被全面压制，还找不到反抗的理由，生活煎熬，没有盼头。鲜明的希区柯克风格，运镜及调度比较娴熟，细节极为精彩，该有的铺垫都有，篇幅所限，所以叙事很有效率。结尾的反转很妙，始终都没能摆脱掉“阴影”，还因此断送了所有，让人无限唏嘘、慨叹。
《希区柯克剧场》S01E23《Back to Christmas》四星。希区柯克亲自执导，果然足够精彩。开头一个镜头就交代了丈夫的预谋，镜头感太强。丈夫本以从此逍遥自在，但到头来还是逃不过妻子事无巨细的安排，天大的报应啊哈哈哈哈哈
