Plot Summary:New York, 1959. Max Bialystock was once the king of Broadway, but now all his shows close on opening night. Things turn around when he's visited by the neurotic accountant Leo Bloom, who proposes a scheme tailor-made for producers who can only make flops: raise far more money than you need, then make sure the show is despised. No one will be interested in it, so you can pocket the surplus. To this end, they produce a musical called Springtime for Hitler written by escaped Nazi Franz Liebken. Then they get the insanely flamboyant Roger De Bris to direct. Finally, they hire as a lead actress the loopy Swedish bombshell Ulla (whose last name has over 15 syllables). As opening night draws near, what can go wrong? Well, there's no accounting for taste...

根据百老汇同名音乐剧改编而来。讲述电影或电影人的电影叫“原电影”，不知道讲述音乐剧和音乐剧圈的音乐剧是不是叫“原音乐剧”？为了洗钱，两位制作人处心积虑要排一部绝对烂透了的音乐剧，没想到歪打正着得获得了巨大成功。从男二号的unhappy开始，全片都非常幽默、讽刺，歌舞也很棒。乌玛瑟曼真的太女神了，金发碧眼、载歌载舞，完全就是百老汇倾倒众生的绝代名伶啊！“瑜不掩瑕”且值得思考的是，虽然都是用表演讲故事的艺术/娱乐，但舞台与银幕的呈现效果有时恐怕并不互通。比如开片不久男一与金主阿姨的调情就看起来很不体面，令人不适。男二的焦虑症发作也是尴尬多过搞笑。
