由两个独立故事组成，《一体两旗》和《命运交响曲》。Plot Summary:The film consists of two police stories, and both happened within the few days in 1997 when Hong Kong was about to be handed over to Communist China by Britain.Part 1 ( One Body Two Flags ) is about two middle age cops, also cousins, on the way to the airport, and looking back on Hong Kong and at their own lives.This Part confronts the explosive issues of the 1967 Hong Kong communist riot, and the police uprising against the ICAC ( anti-corruption agency ) in 1978.Part 2 ( The 5th ) tells about the turbulent love relationship between a young traffic cop and his pro-democracy activist girlfriend amid major political storms of 1989 pro Beijing student democracy movement, and the 1997 Hand Over of Hong Kong to China. The title came from Beethoven's 5th Symphony which the HK police used to drown demonstration voices on that fateful night.

香港警察的故事永远能勾起我的兴致
電影分為兩部份,時間也是19970630至19970701之間的一夜,前部份為一體兩旗,敍事性及故事性較強,處理及節奏上也比較集中,至於第二部份命運交響曲,則比較鬆散及遊離,當然前後兩部所出現的畫面,事件,對白等等,無一不令人相當感觸,明裡暗裡的警世寓意,越見真章越感無奈,循環逆轉
都是拍97前夕的香港，咋差距就这么大呢。@陈果

刘成汉 先生應不是唯一作品, 但沒公開上映, 我有幸在電影節看過.....零時那場戲可謂畫龍點睛....
