Plot Summary:Beloved priest Father Thomasino is murdered in a San Francisco alley, and the police have few clues. But traffic cop Joe Martini becomes obsessed with finding the killer; he suspects Sylvio Malatesta. Ordered off the case, Joe turns in his badge and investigates alone. 谋杀悬疑开头，警察卧底却逐渐成为家庭言情伦理剧，对疑犯的调查却变成当深入了解一个人并产生羁绊后「情与法」的两难（事实上故事对于警探在这方面的刻画非常弱，最后甚至需要用巧合与「天意」来规避角色的困境），尽管被标记为「黑色电影」更像某种通俗肥皂剧。
【拖延症】感谢字幕组。男主大概之前演过反派？是一部非常紧凑的黑色电影。虽然没有意料之外的反转，男主误认的过程还是一波三折。
